The Minister also attached importance to the establishment of regional structures and the creation of a pan-Armenian network of those structures.

“Artsakh is the only unrecognized country where the EU doesn’t provide assistance, unlike other disputed territories such as Abkhazia, Transdnester and Northern Cyprus, which have gained significantly from EU involvement and assistance,” Minasyan stated.

The European Union’s involvement will help meet the needs of the peaceful civilians of the Artsakh Republic and enhance the values of human rights and democracy, fostering the establishment of peace and security in the region.

It is possible the European Union’s position on Artsakh. On June 7, more than 1,400 Europeans, including more than 60 public figures from the fields of science, the arts, politics and public sectors joined the petition launched by AGBU Europe.

AGBU Europe has posted a video and information with the purpose of explaining the need of EU involvement in Artsakh.
