RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan recognized as Best Minister of the Year 2013
On Apr. 3, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan visited the editorial office of IRAVUNK newspaper. According to tradition, this year IRAVUNK recapped the activities of Armenian figures in different spheres and, taking readers’ opinions into consideration, recognized RA Minister of Diaspora HRANUSH HAKOBYAN as the Best Minister of the Year 2013 for being enterprising and persistent in the strengthening of relations with the Diaspora.
During the meeting, the minister also participated in IRAVUNK’s Live Program and answered the questions concerning citizens during a nearly 80-minute telephone conversation. The minister gave exhaustive answers to 21 questions that were mainly related to the issues facing Kessab, the key issues facing Syrian-Armenians, the events in Ukraine, the programs of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, the activities for repatriation, the preparations ahead of the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and more.
After the meeting, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan congratulated the editors and founding editor-in-chief of IRAVUNK newspaper Hayk Babukhanyan on the newspaper’s 25th anniversary, mentioning that for the past 25 years, Armenians have been taking advantage of their opportunity to be aware and receive information from IRAVUNK newspaper. The minister welcomed the fact that the newspaper’s editor-in-chief is involved in law-making and is able to be of help to his readers and the Armenian society through his successful efforts.
