On October 18, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received the guests of the Second Armenological Conference organized in light of the 70^th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, including Claude Armen Mutafian, Vardan Matevosian, Jirair Dedeian, Gabriella Uluhodjian, Anna Shirinian, Isabel Oje, Anna Mariai Chevalie, Sona Harutyunian and others.

The minister greeted the guests and particularly mentioned: “I would like to attach importance to three main issues. The first is language. We need to preserve the Armenian language in the Diaspora. If not, we will lose it. The second is recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide. You can academically oppose the anti-propaganda. The third issue that I attach importance to is the reinforcement of centers for Armenian studies and the increase in the number of courses. Those centers must truly become “small Armenias”. Armenology means Armenia that looks towards the future.”
