On October 10, a ceremony summing up the results of the pan-Armenian awards for best scientific and artistic works was held at the hall of the Union of Writers of Armenia under the direction of RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, President of the RA National Academy of Sciences Radik Martirosyan and President of the Union of Armenians of Russia and the World Armenian Congress.
In his welcoming remarks, President of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan particularly mentioned that the awards have been held for the past decade and that the geography is expanding year after year. “We have to continue because people are interested and are actively participating. We’ll be adding new areas and categories. We commend the gathered and the winners,” Abrahamyan said.
Diplomas were presented by Ara Abrahamyan, Radik Martirosyan and Hranush Hakobyan.
The winners of the pan-Armenian awards in science were presented with awards according to the categories by academician-secretary of the RA National Academy of Sciences Hrant Matevosyan.
The winners of the awards for best articles with the slogan “Our Belief: Statehood, Unity and National Identity” were presented by President of the Union of Journalists of Armenia Astghik Gevorgyan.
President of the Union of Artists of Armenia Karen Aghamyan presented the winners of the awards for works of fine arts.
The winners of the contest for screenplays and adaptations in directing of documentaries with the topic “Our Border” were presented by President of the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia Ruben Gevorgyants.
Correspondent of the RA National Academy of Sciences, president of the contest committee Aelita Dolukhanyan presented the winners of the pan-Armenian literature awards.
In the end, in light of the 5th anniversary of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan presented the “Ambassador of the Native Language” Medal to intellectuals and cultural figures of Armenia and the Diaspora, as well as certificates of appreciation for contribution to and pro-national activities for the development of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership and preservation of the Armenian identity.
