Day 6: Participants of “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival in Armavir province

Before leaving for Armavir province for concerts, the participants of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. They lit candles and prayed for their success at the Mother Temple, toured the churchyard and were introduced to the buildings adjacent to the Mother Temple. With great spirit, they headed toward Armavir city where the representatives of the local cultural center were waiting for the Diaspora Armenians who were going to be performing for the citizens of Armavir.

The crowds gathered, and the concert began. The audience was very active. The dancers performed their beautiful dances without feeling nervous. During the breaks, the host recited poems, and the young singers of Armavir performed patriotic songs. Head of the Department of Culture of Armavir regional council Armen Tovmasyan was also attending the event. The event ended with a speech by Deputy Director of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival Eduard Yesayants. “To preserve their identity, Armenians must become familiar with Armenian culture, part of which is Armenian dance. This is exactly the goal of the Ministry of Diaspora, the guarantee of which is the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival. We’ll do everything possible to link Armenia to the Diaspora through culture. We have to make sure the Diaspora Armenians feel the “scent” of the Homeland.”

Yesayants also expressed gratitude to Armavir regional council for the cordial reception and the cooperation.
