Syrian-Armenians’ handmade items showcased at exhibition-sale dedicated to Tyarndarach holiday
On February 11, on the occasion of the Armenian Tyarndarach holiday of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church, at the initiative of the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues NGO, the “Breath of Syrian-Armenian Culture in Yerevan” charity exhibition-sale kicked off in the vestibule of the Faculty of Armenian Philology at Yerevan State University.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan attended the exhibition-sale where she toured the gallery and was introduced to the works of the Syrian-Armenians.
Afterwards, the minister expressed gratitude to the administration of Yerevan State University for opening its doors to the Syrian-Armenians and providing them with the opportunity to show their art, crafts and handmade items to students as well.
The exhibition-sale showcased the handmade works, as well as jewels, pastry and Oriental dishes made by over 40 Syrian-Armenians.
The exhibition-sale will end on February 12.
