As we had informed our readers, an event dedicated to the 50^th anniversary of the career of British-Armenian writer, educator, public figure, editor-in-chief of London’s Voice of the New Generation magazine Manuel Adamian was held in London in June, during which representative of the RA Ministyr of Diaspora Laura Avetisyan presented Adamian with the “Ambassador of the Mother Language” Medal of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

To Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia Hranush Hakobyan

Dear Mrs. Hakobyan, on June 8^th, the “Nor Seround” Cultural Association of London organized a ceremony dedicated to the 50^th anniversary of my career in literature and community service, which was held under the sponsorship of Primate of the Armenian Diocese of British-Armenians and Northern Ireland, Bishop Vahan Hovhannesian. The event brought together the community’s intellectuals, members of non-governmental organizations and many literature fans. President of the Union of Writers of Armenia Levon Ananyan, representative of the Ministry of Diaspora Laura Avetisyan, Head of the Chair of New and Modern Literature at the Pedagogical University, Dr. Suren Danielyan and art fans arrived from Yerevan to attend the ceremony dedicated to the 50^th anniversary of my career. The event included a concert with performances by artists. The Armenian delegation comprised of the Diaspora Ministry’s representative, intellectuals and artists made the ceremony more festive, and the British-Armenians experienced great moments.

Dear Mrs. Hranush Hakobyan, during the event, President of the Union of Writers of Armenia Levon Ananyan presented me with the “Ambassador of the Mother Language” Medal of the Ministry of Diaspora, and for that I express my deep gratitude to you and pledge to continue doing my best to serve my people and the homeland.

On this occasion, I would also like to inform that I was awarded the “Sahak-Mesrob” Medal by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II. I also received a gold medal from London’s “Nor Seround” Cultural Association and a diploma from the Social-Democrat Hunchakian Party’s Central Board.

In closing, I would like to express my deep gratitude to you, Mrs. Hranush Hakobyan.
