Mayor of Marseilles has appealed to the FFF to host the France-Armenia friendly soccer match in Marseilles
Mayor of Marseilles Jean-Claude Gaudin has appealed to President of the French Football Federation with the request to host the France-Armenia friendly match in his city, reports armennews.
The match will be held at Stad De Frans Stadium on October 8, 2015, but Gaudin wants it to be held at the Velodrom Stadium in Marseilles.
The match will be dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
The Armenian community of Marseilles is the largest Armenian community in France, and the mayor is certain that the match will become a big event.
