“Diaspora” Summer School Program participants visit Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex and Yerablour Military Pantheon
Diaspora Armenians visiting Armenia through the “Diaspora” Summer School Program are not only participating in the courses, but are also visiting historic and cultural monuments, memorial complexes and other sites.
On July 4, the participants of the “Diaspora” Summer School Program visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex and Yerablour Military Pantheon.
The participants gathered around the Eternal Flame, said a prayer and expressed their views on the canonized innocent victims, the importance of Armenian Genocide recognition, as well as the contributions of Diaspora Armenians to international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the actions geared towards recognition.
The participants also headed towards Yerablour Military Pantheon where the bodies of freedom fighters and servicemen killed during the Artsakh war and after the 1994 ceasefire are buried.
