Diaspora Armenian teachers’ training courses kick off in Tsakhkadzor
The training courses for Diaspora Armenian teachers, which are part of the 2013 “Diaspora Summer School” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, were launched at the Youth Center in Tsakhkadzor on July 15th. Nearly 40 teachers of Armenian schools in different Diaspora Armenian communities will be participating in the courses from July 15th to August 2nd.
Head of the Department of All-Armenian Programs at the RA Ministry of Diaspora Atom Mkhitaryan greeted the Diaspora Armenian teachers and mentioned that they play a huge role in the preservation of Armenian identity, language and culture. Mkhitaryan also voiced hope that the courses would help enrich their knowledge and that the exchange of experiences would help introduce new methods of and approaches to teaching.
Alongside the training courses, the teachers will also learn Armenian songs and dances and will take part in sport and cultural events, go sightseeing in Armenia, have meetings with state, public and cultural figures and participate in debates and roundtable discussions.
Let us remind that the “Diaspora Summer School” Program includes five courses, including Advanced Armenian Language Courses (8 July-2 August), Training Courses for Diaspora Armenian Teachers (15 July-2 August), Course for Young Diaspora Armenian Leaders (22 July-2 August), Course for Diaspora Armenian Journalists (22 July-2 August) and an Armenian Song and Dance Course (24 July-2 August).
