On July 25, the participants of the young leaders training courses of “Diaspora” Summer School had a meeting with Major General, Hero of Artsakh Liberation War Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan. He told the young people form Diaspora about the fight of Armenian detachments, the liberation of Shushi, which was crucial for the further course of the struggle.

The RA Military Cross Order Bearer Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan told the summer school participants how in October, 1991, the newly created self-defense forces liberated the Village of Togh (Hadrut Region) of strategic importance and about the liberation, through operations carried out brilliantly, of Shushi City in May, 1998, which was considered by the Azeri military units as the most inaccessible height and wherefrom for many months Stepanakert had been bombarded.

A. Ter-Tadevosyan presented also his considerations regarding the Azeri antagonistic policy in relation to the Armenians and its grave consequences.

At the end of the meeting, the young leaders of “Diaspora” Summer School asked their questions to Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan.
