Diaspora journalists and young leaders at the Residence of the RA President

On July 29, the Diaspora Summer School participants of the Diaspora journalists and young leaders training courses under the RA Ministry of Diaspora visited the Residence of the RA President. The participants were received by the RA President Chief of Staff Vigen Sargsyan. The RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan was present at the meeting.

Emphasizing the implementation of such programs aiming at the preservation of the Armenian identity in the development of the Homeland-Diaspora relations, V. Sargsyan stated that it enables to recognize Diaspora and its needs from a new aspect and be supportive in resolution of the Diaspora related problems. The Armenia-Diaspora interaction has been permanently in the Armenian President’s focus of attention. In course of the meeting, issues related to the RA internal and foreign policy, preparatory work for the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the demand, RNK’s security and development of Homeland-Diaspora interactions were discussed. The Chief of the President’s Staff answered to the questions asked by the participants.

In course of the visit, the Diaspora young people had a familiarization tour at the Residence of the President, got familiar with the protocols for state and official receptions and meetings of the RA President, the structure, activity and purpose of the President’s institute as the highest state governance authority.

A video film was shown for the participants of the Diaspora summer school. It was about on the RA State government system, the Residence of the President, the authorities and the functions vested in the President of the Republic, his role and place in the state authority system and the interrelations with other state bodies.

At the end of the meeting, photograph of the participants was taken and they left the Residence of the President with lots of impressions.
