2017 “Diaspora” Summer School Program set to kick off

On July 3 at 11:00, the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia will host the solemn opening ceremony of the 2017 “Diaspora” Summer School Program at the Ministry of Diaspora (Address: 1 Alex Manoogian Street, YSU Large Auditorium, Main Building, 3rd floor). The Program is being carried out in cooperation with Yerevan State University.

This year, the Program will gather 322 Diaspora Armenians from 30 countries around the world.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan will deliver her opening remarks.

Rector of Yerevan State University Aram Simonyan will express his greetings to the participants.

The “Diaspora” Summer School Program includes five courses:

  1. Accelerated Armenian Language Course (2-29 July);
  2. Training Course for Armenian Language Teachers and Organizers of Education (2-29 July)
  3. Training for Young Journalists (2-15 July);
  4. Master Classes for Choirmasters and Dance Instructors (2-15 July);
  5. Course for Young Leaders and Community Activists (2-15 July).

All the courses will be held in Armenian.

The solemn opening ceremony will be followed by performances by members of the YSU Cultural Center.
