The events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in the northern Qamishli region of Syria were officially launched with a Requiem Service held at the St. Hakob Armenian Church at 18:00 on February 21, as Hayern Aysor’s sources in Qamishli report.

The Requiem Service was followed by the reading of the Pan-Armenian Declaration on the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Armenian and Arabic, as well as the statement by the Armenian Genocide Centennial Jezireh Central Committee.

The opening of the poster devoted to the Armenian Genocide on the wall of the church was held under the direction of Father, Supreme Archimandrite Paren Vartanian.
