“It’s not by chance that Turkey’s policy on zero problems isn’t leading to anything”-Edward Nalbandyan

On October 23, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan answered journalists’ questions during a joint press conference with German Minister of Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier. When asked about Erdogan’s recent statement according to which research on the events of 1915 should be based on the books in Turkish libraries and archival materials and that Turk researchers citing those archives come to the conclusion that the genocide wasn’t perpetrated by the Turks, but against them, Nalbandyan particularly said:

“It’s strange that the materials devoted to the Armenian Genocide in Turkish libraries and archives are different from the materials in archives and libraries around the world in terms of their content. If the decision-makers in Turkey rely on such materials, it’s not by chance that the policy on zero problems won’t lead to anything.

A short while ago, I transferred to my German counterpart, Mr. Steinmeier a new book containing nearly 240 documents certifying the Armenian Genocide in German archives.”
