Vartan and Siranush Gevorkian visit the RA Ministry of Diaspora

On July 2, founders of Gevorkian Dance Academy of Los Angeles, Mr. and Mrs. Vartan and Siranush Gevorkian visited the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received the guests and praised the Gevorkian family’s role in carrying out activities for national preservation and preserving and disseminating Armenian dance abroad for nearly 20 years.

Vartan Gevorkian expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and mentioned that such high appreciation will make Armenians in the Diaspora work harder to preserve Armenian culture abroad.

The sides discussed details regarding the concert dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Gevorkian Dance Academy at the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. The concert will be held with the support of the Union of Dance Artists and particularly Karen Gevorgyan on July 3.

Established in 1995, the Gevorkian Dance Academy has given concerts in different countries around the world.

The Academy has also participated in the events organized as part of the “My Armenia” (Im Hayastan) Pan-Armenian Festival.
