The Government of the Republic of Armenia held today a subsequent session moderated by RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.
Abrahamyan called the government officials’ attention to attracting investments in Armenia and the role of Ambassadors in that regard. “You all know that our Ambassadors are on a visit to the Republic of Armenia. I have met with them, and there are two questions that the Ambassadors are calling the government’s attention to. I have suggested that they become involved in attracting investments in Armenia. I have also suggested that the President of the Republic make that one of the components of the Ambassadors’ activities. The Ambassadors say the ministers’ proposals are not paid attention to and that even if they are, the Ambassadors are not informed. They brought up specific facts. The Ambassadors also complain that they don’t receive investment proposals from Armenia’s ministries. If an Ambassador has to meet with the investors and businessmen of the given country, he or she must have the investment plan at his or her disposal. Thus, the corresponding ministers and ministries must think of how they can provide the Ambassadors with the complete investment plans. I think the Ambassadors’ efforts will be fruitful and we must work with them. I assign the corresponding ministers to draw up the investment plans and submit them to the Ambassadors via the Minister of Foreign Affairs,” reports the press service of the RA Government.
