RA Acting Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan’s message on the occasion of the passing of the Armenian Genocide Resolution by the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Dear compatriots,
Armenians in Armenia and the Diaspora were very excited to receive the news about the passing of Armenian Genocide Resolution N 410 by the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. We commend the passing of this Resolution ahead of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, which goes to show once again that the crimes against humanity have no expiration date.
With the passing of this Resolution, Chairman of the Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee Robert Menendez and the Senators that voted for the Resolution affirmed their willingness to stay true to universal values and prevent crimes against humanity.
The passing of such a Resolution for the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide is an important step that was taken through the unwavering and goal-oriented efforts made by the Armenian American community, the Armenian Assembly of America, the Armenian National Committee Offices in the United States and other countries and other pan-Armenian organizations.
I wish you force and vigor in your efforts for international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and elimination of the consequences.
RA Acting Minister of Diaspora
Hranush Hakobyan
