“Breath of Syrian-Armenian Culture in Yerevan” charity fair kicks off

On Feb. 14, nearly 30 Syrian-Armenian entrepreneurs participated in the “Breath of Syrian-Armenian Culture in Yerevan” charity fair, which was held by the initiative of the RA Ministry of Diaspora at Hakob Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theater and in light of the Tyarndarach holiday and Saint Sargis Day. During the fair, the Syrian-Armenians showcased their hand-made words, jewels, pastry and other products.

Minister Hranush Hakobyan toured the exhibition hall and was introduced to the Syrian-Armenians’ works. The minister viewed this initiative as an important step for the Syrian-Armenians’ integration and mentioned that the fair will not only provide them with the opportunity to showcase their products, but earn money as well.

According to an initial agreement with the Syrian-Armenians participating in the charity fair, part of the proceeds from the charity fair will go to the fund for construction of homes in the New Aleppo district.

The charity fair showcasing the works of Syrian-Armenians will continue at Lovers’ Park on February 15th.
