“Breath of Syrian-Armenian Culture in Yerevan” charity exhibition-sale kicks off
On December 23, the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues NGO launched the “Breath of Syrian-Armenian Culture in Yerevan” two-day charity exhibition sale in the vestibule of the large sessions hall of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The exhibition-sale showcases the products made by Syrian-Armenians, including jewels, national dishes, pastry and other products.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan visited the exhibition-sale. “The first exhibition of Syrian-Armenians’ handmade works was organized in 2013, after which the exhibition-sales were organized several times a year and turned into a tradition. I am happy to see how our compatriots are creative and show new approaches every time. I am also happy to see the growing number of participants. This means that the exhibition-sale contributes to the development of small and medium businesses.”
Minister Hranush Hakobyan emphasized the fact that the local Armenians making purchases at the New Year exhibition-sale will not only help Syrian-Armenians’ businesses grow, but will also have the chance to add unique dishes and desserts on their tables for the New Year and decorate their homes with the various gifts made by Syrian-Armenian women, as well as give their loved ones highly tasteful and artistic gifts.
“The Syrian-Armenians truly introduced a new culture in the Homeland. They also showed new approaches to working and conveyed new quality. They are faithful and are uniquely talented,” the minister mentioned.
