Sibil’s LOVE

Istanbul-Armenian singer Sibil (Sibil Pektorosoglu) will release her second album LOVE on Feb. 11.

The album includes 12 songs, including 7 new songs. Eleven of the songs are in Armenian, and the song Ma Hollema (Until When) is in Arame.

Sibil has collaborated with famous dudukist Jivan Gasparyan, composer Ara Gevorgyan, singer Andre, the Arevner Group, as well as 15 well-known singers of Armenia and Greek musician Pedro.

The creator of the new songs is well-known composer Mazhak Toshikyan, and the music of one of the songs was composed by Ara Gevorgyan. The lyrics of the songs are by Makruhi Hakobyan, Avet Barseghyan and Artur Safaryan.

The album also includes the remix of the song “Promised Land”, which was given to Sibil as a gift by well-known Turk musician Mercan Dede.

A video clip for the song “Tonight” will be broadcast on television soon.

“I wanted to call my album LOVE since it’s the world’s greatest feeling. There have been many songs sung and many stories written about love. I didn’t call my album LOVE for one person. I wanted this album to make everyone feel the love, regardless of color of skin, religion and national belonging,” Sibil said in an interview with “Hayern Aysor”.

Let’s congratulate Sibil and wish that the songs off her new album convey love to everyone and that the responses to that love are “heard” in the soul of the beloved singer.

Let us remind that in 2011, Istanbul-Armenian singer Sibil’s video clip for the Armenian version of the song “Namak” (Letter) caused uproar and was shown on Turkey’s top television channels, making it the first time that an Armenian song was played on Turkish television channels.

On Aug. 13 of that same year, the Armenian audience listened to Istanbul-Armenian singer Sibil Pektorosoglu’s beautiful performance.
