Solemn opening of exhibition dedicated to Arshile Gorky to be held as part of “Our Greats” Program of the RA MInistry of Diaspora
On May 14th at 15:00, the solemn opening of the exhibition-sale entitled “Colors under the Light of Tragedy” and dedicated to great Armenian painter Arshile Gorky will be held as part of the “Our Greats” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora (Address: 38 Isahakyan St.).
From May 14th to 16th, the Russian Art Museum will showcase the works by Armenian painters who were impacted by Arshile Gorky, including Eduard Artsrunyan, Yura Harutyunyan, Karen Aghamyan, Shahen Aslanyan, Vigen Tadevosyan, Samvel Chibukhchyan, Hrach Vardanyan, Eduard Hakobyan, Vahe Tevosyan, Vahagn Galstyan and Eduard Vardanyan. Proceeds from the sales will go to the construction of the “New Aleppo” District for Syrian-Armenians.
The event will begin with opening remarks by RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan.
President of the Union of Artists of Armenia Karen Aghamyan will also speak at the event.
Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Shahen Khachatryan will present the great painter’s life and career.
