Events dedicated to 103rd anniversary of Armenian Genocide held in Kazakhstan

Events commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide have been held in the Armenian-populated cities of Kazakhstan, including Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Aktobe, Aterawum, Pavlodar, Aktau and elsewhere. Since the early hours of the day, Armenians would gather near Armenian cross-stones, lay flowers, participate in Holy Masses and organize commemoration events that gathered not only representatives of Armenian cultural centers, students of Armenian Sunday schools and other members of the Armenian community, but also representatives of other nations of Kazakhstan, diplomats, journalists and others. On 24 April, Karaganda hosted a large commemoration event held with the participation of Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Kazakhstan Ara Sahakyan, and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia Haik Terteryan participated in the event held in Aktobe.
The motto was the same for all the events — “We Remember and Demand”. The Armenians of Kazakhstan unanimously condemn genocide and call on fighting against such crimes in all corners of the globe.
