Yerevan’s Stepan Zoryan School and Paris’s “Dprotsaser” Armenian daily school become sister schools at initiative of Ministry of Diaspora

On October 30, within the scope of the Sister Schools Program for Armenian schools of Armenia and the Diaspora (launched by the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia for the purpose of enhancing the Armenia-Diaspora partnership, preserving the Armenian identity and providing young Armenians with an Armenian education and upbringing), the “Dprotsaser” Armenian daily school of Paris and Stepan Zoryan School #56 of Yerevan concluded a memorandum of cooperation signed by Principal of “Dprotsaser” Armenian daily school of Paris Haig Sarkisian and Principal of Stepan Zoryan School Susanna Galstyan.

An agreement was reached on implementing joint educational and training programs, exchanging information and organizing reciprocal visits for the mutual recognition of the schools, teachers and schoolchildren.

The parties also agreed to organize teacher training courses, help teachers exchange their experiences, ensure online communication, as well as develop subject-specific courses devoted to Armenian language, literature, history and culture and organize online education.

The memorandum also envisages organizing joint Armenian language, history and Armenology competitions, open distance courses, theme-based teleconferences, roundtables and debates, creating opportunities for schoolchildren to communicate online and ensure active participation in the “Ari Tun” Program and “Diaspora” Summer School Program, as well as other educational, culture and youth programs of the Ministry of Diaspora.
