Director of Armenian School of Kuwait Nerses Sarkissian hosted at RA Ministry of Diaspora

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Director of the Armenian School of Kuwait Nerses Sarkissian.

Greeting the guest, the Minister highly appreciated the Diaspora Armenian figure’s multifaceted activities, his efforts for preservation of the Armenian identity and expressed her satisfaction with the changes and innovations that Nerses Sarkissian has introduced at the Armenian School of Kuwait. The Minister attached special importance to the teaching of the Armenian Cause by the School’s director.

Nerses Sarkissian expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Diaspora and particularly to Minister Hranush Hakobyan for the consistent support that is provided to the Armenian School of Kuwait. He especially attached importance to the provision of textbooks and supporting materials to the School and the students’ participation in the “Ari Tun” Program for young Diaspora Armenians’ homeland recognition and stated that education in the Armenian Diaspora would become an end in itself, if it is not related to the Homeland. Sarkissian informed that the Armenian church in Kuwait was already built and that the community is focused on the School. The administration of the School has gathered the high-class specialists of the community and is trying to make fundamental reforms to make the educational process more attractive, pleasant and interactive.

Issues related to the participation of the community’s representatives in the 6th Armenia-Diaspora Pan-Armenian Conference were considered during the meeting.
