RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participated in solemn opening ceremony of 12th Armenian Medical World Congress in Buenos Aires

On May 31, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participated in the solemn opening ceremony of the 12th Armenian Medical World Congress (AMWC) in Buenos Aires. The Congress is chaired by prominent Argentine-Armenian doctor, infectologist Daniel Stamboulian.
In her speech, the Minister attached importance to the idea of the Congress and expressed deep gratitude to the event organizers (FIDEC, the staffs of Istanbul Foundation and PLAS) all those who had made their invaluable contributions, especially founding President of FIDEC Daniel Stamboulian. The Minister also voiced hope that the Congress would consolidate the potential of Armenian doctors around the world for the enhancement of the healthcare system in Armenia.
“Healthcare is one of the special and major priorities of the national policy of the Republic of Armenia. In this regard, I would like to attach special importance to the Health Armenia Program, and it is impossible to underestimate the role that the actions for the Armenia-Diaspora-Artsakh triumvirate, including this already traditional international congress play in making the Program effective,” RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan said, adding that the conduct of the Armenian Medical World Congress in Buenos Aires is also significant in terms of the strengthening and development of the cooperation between Armenia and Argentina.
Greeting the Armenian doctors having traveled from Armenia and other countries, Hranush Hakobyan wished the Congress success.
Let us add that the 12th Armenian Medical World Congress will end on June 2. The first Congress was held in 1974 in Beirut at the initiative of Diaspora Armenian doctors. The Congress is organized once every four years in different countries. This year it is being held under the title “Challenges of Promoting and Integrating Health and the Challenges of Innovation”.
