Australian-Armenian political scientist visits the Ministry of Diaspora

On January 9, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received member of the Armenian National Committee of Australia, political scientist, corporate relations specialist and e-Bay’s Public Policy Director for Asia and the Pacific Ocean Sassoon Krikorian.
Greeting the guest, Minister Hranush Hakobyan highly appreciated the Australian-Armenian political figure’s active stance on the protection of interests of national minorities and the efforts that he has made to solve the issues of the Australian-Armenian community over the past years. The Minister particularly mentioned the following: “I am aware of your pro-national activities and your proposals. I think it is time to restructure the Armenian Diaspora at the professional level and create new professional associations, and that is the goal of professional forums. It is important to draw up the right plan, select the right topics and organize the forums correctly. The pan-Armenian professional forums have already led to the establishment of the Pan-Armenian Association of Architects and Engineers, the associations of Armenian doctors, cardiologists, journalists, financiers, bankers and lawyers and the Armenian Trade Network.”
Sassoon Krikorian expressed gratitude for the cordial reception, emphasized the fact that he was visiting Armenia for the second time and expressed willingness to collaborate more actively with the Ministry and participate in pan-Armenian forums, conferences and the programs of the Ministry. He presented his latest book as a gift to the Minister. The book is devoted to the organization of Armenian communities of the Diaspora and the delicacies of activities with national minorities. The book also presents his recommendations.
