Tourists visiting Ani receive a message stating “Welcome to Armenia” from GSM operator

Head of the Turkish ASIMDER Organization (the organization spreads anti-Armenian propaganda), lecturer of the Chair of History at Ataturk University of Erzerum Savas Eghilmez has complained about the actions of an international GSM mobile phone operator. According to him, the operator sent a message to the mobile phones of tourists visiting the ruins of Ani, considering the area of the ruined city on the Turkish-Armenian border a part of Armenia.

According to Haberler.com, Eghilmez has declared that the words “Welcome to Armenia” are stated in the message sent by the GSM operator.

“The operator included the historic city of Ani within the borders of Armenia and fulfilled the dream of the Armenians,” the president of the anti-Armenian organization said.

According to ermenihaber.am, Eghilmez also declared that he was preparing to file an application to the state prosecutor’s office of Erzerum with the demand to have the mistake corrected.
