The Armenian school must serve as a “temple” for native studies, and teachers must worship the nation

On September 21, all Armenians are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. This historic event is a grand and glorious anniversary not only for Armenians in Armenia, but also all Armenians around the world.

Hayern Aysor is presenting the congratulatory messages of well-known figures of Armenia and the Diaspora on the occasion of Independence Day.

On September 21, 1991, there was a celebration at Republic Square in Armenia. it was a spontaneous and pan-national celebration that the Armenian people had been anticipating for a long time. On that day, the dream of all Armenians of the world came true. The Armenians gained independence, which is the supreme value and the guarantee for the development, prosperity and dignified life of a nation.

Independence was accompanied with the Artsakh war where many Armenians became national heroes. Through them, Artsakh was returned to its owners. They helped achieve the right of our nation to live.

Garegin Nzhdeh once said the following wise words: “Lucky is the person who can say that the sun rises for everyone and for each person in his homeland.”

Looking at the political map of the Republic of Armenia is enough to understand the intricate region in which our country is taking after long suffering and after regaining its statehood. The times impose new challenges, and to resist them, we need to have a healthy generation that is able to appreciate national values. So, Armenian schools must serve as a “temple” for native studies where Armenian children must learn to love the homeland, and teachers must worship the nation.

There is no deeper feeling than the feeling of patriotism. The birthday of our independent homeland is a celebration for all of us. This is also the best opportunity for us to reinterpret the past 25 years, our future actions and the visions for the future.

Throughout the past 25 years of independence, Armenia has made achievements and has suffered painful losses. The greatest achievements were the declaration of independence and the victory in Artsakh.

Only with independence and statehood is it possible to shape a prosperous, free, independent and unified Armenia. Independence is Armenia’s greatest achievement.

In observance of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia, the administration, as well as teachers and students of the Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation and the parents congratulate the Armenians of Armenia and the world and our young Republic and wish peace and prosperity.

Happy Independence Day to all of us! May the independence of Armenia be eternal!
