“Armenia. Create Together”: “Our aim is to make sure Armenians stay healthy”

Boston-Armenian Allen Chaghlasian is participating in the first “Armenia. Create Together” youth forum, which is organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, in association with the Armenian General Benevolent Union, Luys Foundation and Ayb Foundation. After graduating from the Department of General Medicine at the English College in London, Allen started conducting eye research.

Talking about his career and achievements, Allen said he had worked in the Gargar village of Stepanavan and the Tashir city of Lori Province through Luys Foundation for two years.

“We want to understand what health problems our compatriots in Armenia have so that we can provide them with commensurate medical assistance. Without thinking twice, we are ready to invest our abilities and share our experiences in Armenia and help Armenians stay healthy. Armenia is always in our focus,” Allen said in an interview with Hayern Aysor and added that a new program would be carried out in this direction in Armenia.

He and representatives of Luys Foundation will be touring Armenia’s villages in cars to provide different medical services to people who can’t afford to go to a doctor for a checkup. Allen fully hopes this program helps improve people’s health in some way.

I have launched another major program with plastic surgeon of the First University Hospital, Medical Programs Director of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia, Associate Professor of the Chair of Plastic and Rehabilitative Surgery at Yerevan State Medical University, candidate of medical sciences Gevorg Yaghjyan, and we have called the program “Telejournal”. Through extensive and large-scale efforts, we want to understand the level of public health in Armenia and what needs to be done to improve the quality of life in this village,” Allen Chaghlasian said.

Through another charity program, Allen intends to organize daily courses entitled “A Healthy Lifestyle” for the residents and schoolchildren of the villages. When asked why he is carrying out these programs with villagers, Allen had only one response. “It seems as people in the villages lack some attention. They have a lot of worries and can’t find the time to take care of themselves,” he said.

At the end, Allen added that he had participated in many similar forums and conferences during his years of study in London. He believes such forums and conferences serve as one of the best ways for making achievements, gaining new knowledge and acquiring new skills. He has noticed that the experience gained during those forums and conferences has been necessary in practice.

Allen is participating in the first “Armenia. Create Together” youth forum with the same hope and expectations. Let us remind that the forum is organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, in association with the Armenian General Benevolent Union, the Luys Foundation and the Ayb Foundation.
