On June 21, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received French-Armenian figure, President of the Chapters of the Union of Volunteer Land Defenders in Europe, the USA and Canada Rubik Galstanian, his wife, Zoya Gasparyan, Advisor to the RA Minister of Diaspora in Canada Khoren Mardoyan and representative of the Armenian community of Vancouver Eddie Bedrosian.
Greeting the guests, the Minister talked about their pro-national activities with satisfaction and particularly stressed Rubik Galstanian’s personal efforts for the reinforcement of the Armenian Army. “The issues related to the Armenian Army are in Galstanian’s focus, and he spends most of his time solving the problems with reinforcement of the Armenian Army. He is truly our army’s representative in France, the USA and Canada,” the Minister said, adding that Rubik Galstanian is being granted the Gold Medal of the RA Ministry of Diaspora as a token of appreciation of his activities. Handing the award, the Minister wished his dreams about the Armenian Army and the homeland came true.
Expressing gratitude for the high award, Rubik Galstanian praised the RA Ministry of Diaspora, considering it the door and gate of the Armenians leading to the homeland. He also informed that his wife, Zoya Gasparyan was also involved in pro-national activities. One of the classrooms of the school that the two attended (Raffi School N 19 of Vanadzor) is going to be named after her in a couple of days, and Mrs. Gasparyan said it would be her duty to take care of all the problems with the classroom.
Minister Hranush Hakobyan congratulated her and expressed gratitude for that and voiced hope that such initiatives could set an example for Diaspora Armenians.
