Investigative Committee says two people died from bus explosion at Halabyan Street, according to preliminary information

According to preliminary information, there are two people who were killed during the explosion of a bus on the evening of April 25 at Halabyan Street in Yerevan.
This is what Advisor to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee Sona Truzyan said during a press conference.
Truzyan stated that the police had identified the victims, but she couldn’t announce their names for the time being.
According to Truzyan, nine passengers and the driver were in the bus at the moment of the explosion. The driver is currently being interrogated and hasn’t suffered any major damages.
The circumstances behind the explosion of the bus remain unclear. Criminal law experts are working on the site, efforts are being made, and expert examinations have been designated.
At 23:56, there are 7 injured persons, including Hasmik Melkonyan (born in 1963), Anush Yeghikyan (born in 1979), Harutyun Terzyan (born in 1971), Edgar Gasparyan (born in 2002), Anahit Mikayelyan (born in 2001), Roland Khojayan (born in 2001) and Artur Margaryan (born in 1994), who have been transferred to the Scientific Center for Radiation Medicine and Burns where they have been provided with appropriate medical assistance and checked out. The injured persons are citizens of the Republic of Armenia.
The injured persons have been transferred to Armenia Medical Center where doctors assessed the health condition of Edgar Gasparyan and Roland Khojayan as heavy, the health condition of Anahit Mikayelyan as satisfactory and the others’ health condition as medium heavy.
RA Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparyan, Deputy Chief of Police Hunan Poghosyan, Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan, Minister of Health Armen Muradyan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan and Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan have arrived at the site of the incident.
At the site, the police and the rescue service aren’t reporting any information about the circumstances behind the explosion.
As one of the eyewitnesses said, there had been two explosions.
The bus is Bus N 63, which transports passengers from the 9th Mass of Nor Nork Distrit to 15th Quarter-District.
