Armenia’s top leadership and world famous guests pay tribute at Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex

The top leadership of the Republic of Armenia paid tribute to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 at Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.

Near the eternal flame, the clergy performed a Requiem Service officiated by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, state officials bowed their heads and respected the memory of the 1.5 million Armenian martyrs with a moment of silence.

Among the attendees were RA President Serzh Sargsyan and First Lady Rita Sargsyan, parliamentarians and government officials, top officials of the Armed Forces, political figures, intellectuals, heads of diplomatic representations accredited to Armenia, as well as members of compatriotic unions and non-governmental organizations.

World famous Armenian singer Charles Aznavour, Hollywood actor George Clooney, the contenders for and participants of the Aurora Prize and the participants of the 2nd “Against the Crime of Genocide” Global Forum were also with the country’s top leadership at the peak of Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.
