Geghard Dance Ensemble, which has been around for over 30 years, will be on a concert tour in Germany in September. This is what People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia, founder and artistic director of Geghard Dance Ensemble Albert Kiziryan said during an interview with “Armenpress”.

“We leave for Germany on September 15. The Germans have already rented the hall. We’ll be giving about five concerts. In addition, on September 21, we’ll give a concert dedicated to Armenia’s Independence,” Albert Kiziryan mentioned. According to the dance ensemble’s artistic director, the dancers recently returned from a concert tour in Romania.

“We’re rehearsing for the concerts in Germany. The Germans are covering all the expenses. We’ll be traveling by plane. We left for Romania with a 28-member group, but we’ll be traveling to Germany with a 19-member group,” Albert Kiziryan added. According to him, after Germany, the ensemble might travel to the USA, but there are no concert tours scheduled yet. Geghard Dance Ensemble was established in 1980 in the city of Abovyan of Armenia and has given concerts around the world.
