Mayor of Brussels respected the memory of Armenian Genocide victims with a moment of silence

Mayor of Brussels Yvan Mayeur respected the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide with a moment of silence during the session held by the council of the administration, Belgium’s RTBF TV’s website reports, according to News.am.
“Now it’s time to pay tribute,” said the mayor representing the Socialist Party and urged other mayors to follow his example.
As RTBF reports, the mayor’s gesture comes after a debate over the absence of Turkish MPs in the events commemorating the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Belgium.
