Film experts have been introduced to Armenian Genocide film projects
A committee of local and international film experts has been introduced to more than two dozen film projects submitted to the RA Ministry of Culture, the National Cinema Center of Armenia and the organizers of the Golden Apricot International Film Festival on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on the sidelines of the 10th Golden Apricot International Film Festival.
Some of the projects have been submitted by Diaspora Armenian filmmakers, while others have been submitted by local producers and directors. For several hours, the committee listened, discussed and decided that there was still more work to be done to reach the final stage. It was also decided to organize another meeting in the same format.
The committee comprises directors Krzysztof Zanussi and Atom Yegoyan, actress Arsineh Khanjian, Gamila Ilstra (The Netherlands), Director of the National Cinema Center of Armenia Gevorg Gevorgyan, film expert David Muradyan, Artistic Director of the Golden Apricot International Film Festival Susanna Harutyunyan, playwright Karine Khodikyan and writer Ruben Hovsepyan.
