Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan receives Diaspora Armenian artists
On July 8, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received artists Arpiné and Sareen Voskian, Tania and Lena Aydenian and Seleen Chaghlasian, who recently showcased their works at the exhibition called “4 Generations: The Spirit of Determination” and held at the Museum of History of Yerevan.
The Minister cordially greeted the guests and highly appreciated Lebanese-Armenian painter Lena Aydenian’s initiative to showcase the works of 4 generations of 3 families of Diaspora Armenian artists in the Homeland through an exhibition that was organized as part of the events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the founding body of Tekeyan Cultural Associations and held at Museum of History of Yerevan. The Minister stated that the love for and devotion to the arts are transmitted from one generation to the next in the Armenian Diaspora and that this proves once again that Armenian culture is being preserved and is developing in different countries.
Minister Hranush Hakobyan attached special importance to the fact that the exhibition was held as part of the “What are YOU doing for Artsakh?” pan-Armenian movement launched by the Ministry of Diaspora and the desire of the Diaspora Armenian artists to transfer a part of the proceeds from the exhibition to the needy families of freedom fighters killed during the Artsakh war.
Minister Hranush Hakobyan awarded Arpiné and Sareen Voskian, Tania and Lena Aydenian and Seleen Chaghlasian with the certificate of the RA Ministry of Diaspora for preserving the Armenian identity, type of Armenians and the spirit of Armenians in the Diaspora and conveying signals to the young generation for preservation of the Armenian identity through the arts.
France-based Armenian artist Tania Aydenian expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and appreciation and stated that she fell in love with Armenia when she visited three years ago, adding that what brings her to Armenia is the exceptional energy that gives her strength and that her goal is to spark the interest of Frenchmen in Armenia and guide them to the first Christian nation.
