Middle East Research and Futuristic Studies Center hosts conference on “100 Years After the Armenian Genocide”

A group of experts and intellectuals participated in a conference on “100 Years After the Armenian Genocide” hosted by the Middle East Research and Futuristic Studies Center of Ain Shams University of Egypt, writes Alar Almineaui on the El Belet Arab website, according to Hayern Aysor.

Among those attending the conference were Director of Ayn Shems University, Dr. Hussein Isa; RA Ambassador to Egypt, Dr. Armen Melkonyan; Head of the Middle East Research and Futuristic Studies Center Djamal Shakra and Dr. Armen Mazlumian, who is a member of the Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee of Egypt.

During the conference, Professor of historical sciences at Damanhur College, Mohammad Rifat Al Imam talked about the Armenian Cause and Egypt, while military expert, Advisor of the Nasser Military Academy, Dr. Mahmud Khalaf touched upon Turkey’s past and current policies.

The conference also included a speech on “Turkey’s Responsibility for Eliminating the Consequences of the Armenian Genocide” by international law professor and member of Egypt’s Council for Foreign Relations, Dr. Eyman Salaman.

All the participants of the conference stressed how horrible the historic crime of genocide was and how Turkey doesn’t wish to recognize it, in spite of all the documents that verify the crime.
