The volumes of diamond production have recorded a growth of 81 percent in the Republic of
Armenia in January-May 2013 in comparison with the same period of the previous year. In accordance with the data of the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia, 39 thousands 589carats of diamond have been produced in Armenia in January-May 2013. In the same period of the previous year only 21 thousand 878 carats of diamond were produced in the Republic of Armenia.

As reports “Armenpress”, 7247 carats of diamond were produced in the Republic of Armenia in May 2013.

The Republic of Armenia exported 135 thousand 900 carats of diamond in 2012.
