The solemn ceremony for summing up the results of the annual awards “For notable contribution to the preservation of the Armenian identity”, organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia, will be held at the RA Ministry of Diaspora on April 9 at 16:00 (26/1 V. Sargsyan St., Erebuni Plaza Business Center, 9^th floor, Erebuni Hall).

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan will give a welcome speech at the event.

The goal of the awards “For notable contribution to the preservation of the Armenian identity” is to encourage the contributions that groups, individuals and organizations have made to the preservation and the development of the Armenian identity in the Armenian Diaspora, as well as assess and appreciate the activities of Armenian communities, cultural and educational institutions, organizations and individuals in that sphere.

Last year’s competition was held in the following categories:

• “Defender of the Mother Language”,
• Best Armenian School,
• Best Article Ahead of the Armenian Genocide Centennial,
• “We Have Existed, We Exist and We Will Exist” essay contest.
