Turkish FM suggests “building friendship on the common pain”
The centennial of the events of 1915 was one of the issues that Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu touched upon in an interview with Haberturk, writes tert.am
“We give warnings wherever we go, if necessary. President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz will be visiting Turkey, and we’ll be meeting with him as well. The European Parliament’s decision won’t matter to us,” Cavusoglu said.
“Turkey is still negotiating with many countries. We want peace. We want “to build friendship on the common pain”. Our ambassadors and fellow diplomats are making efforts. Armenia has to see that it won’t benefit, if things continue like this. Things can’t go on like this,” Mevlut Cavusoglu added.
