Belgium hosts conference devoted to Armenian Genocide Centennial

On March 17, head of Mesrop Mashtots Union Lusine Nersisyan organized a conference dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide at the University of Liège in Belgium.

Among those attending the conference were representatives of the RA Embassy in Belgium Arman Israelyan and Mesrop Shaboyan, Father, Archimandrite Zatik Avetikyan from the Armenian Apostolic Church, members of the local Armenian community, as well as Belgian guests and Arameans.

The conference included a speech by Rector of the Catholic University of Leuven, Doctor of Philological Sciences and the History of the East, President of the Scientific Research Institute for Civilization, Arts and Letters, Professor Bernag Kul.

Kul talked about the Armenian Genocide and its consequences and presented some facts, maps and pictures.

After his speech, Kul gave full answers to the questions from representatives of different nationalities.

Afterwards, the leaders of the Mesrop Mashtot sUnion expressed gratitude to Professor Kul and granted small gifts on the occasion of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
