March organized on the occasion of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide on Golden Gate Bridge

On February 28, nearly 1,000 people participated in a march commemorating the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

The march was organized by leaders and religious leaders of the local Armenian community, as The Examiner reports. “The march was dedicated to the memory of the victims of not only the Armenian Genocide, but all genocides as well,” one of the participants, active member of the Armenian community of San Francisco Alex Bastian said.

“The wounds of mankind can be cured only when the genocides are recognized,” he mentioned.

There are nearly 30,000 Armenians living in San Francisco, which is located in the Bay Area of Northern California.
