Massachusetts lawmakers hand certificates to Genocide survivors

Representatives of the House of Representatives and Senators of the State of Massachusetts handed certificates to Armenian Genocide survivors

On June 19, the lawmakers visited the Armenian Nursing and RehabilitationCenter in Boston where they handed certificates to Naomi Armen, Agness Aznavourian, Armine Baghdigian, Azatuhi Donabedian and Vazgen Hovhannisyan, reports the Boston Globe.

Senator William Brownsberger said it was an honor and pleasure for him to have a meeting with citizens with a deep history at that rehabilitation center. “They have experienced an indescribable pain during and after the Genocide, but have been able to make their contributions to the State of Massachusetts through their strength and courage and by providing the future generations with truthful information about the Genocide,” said Member of the House of Representatives of the State of Massachusetts.
