In today’s edition of Aztag Arabic we read that the Foreign Relations Committee of the European Parliament recently ratified the annual Human Rights and Democracy in the World Report, which is devoted genocides and denial and which contains parts devoted to Armenia.

According to director of the “European Friends of Armenia” Organization Eduardo Lorenzo Ochoa, the Committee has approved the additional parts devoted to the Armenian Genocide and the 100^th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The report calls on the member states to recognize the Armenian Genocide and expects support from EU authorities in regard to this issue.

The Committee also calls on the member states to combine efforts for human rights protection, as well as condemn the denial of genocides and other crimes, considering that a violation of human rights and fundamental liberties.

The Committee has also condemned the persecutions by ISIS against ethnic minorities, including the Armenians and the Yezidis.
