Play City hosted New Year’s event and reception within the frames of the “Give a Happy New Year!” Program

The RA Ministry of Diaspora held the “Give a Happy New Year” Program at the initiative of the “Hayern Aysor” electronic newspaper and in association with the Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues NGO.

On December 24, the last stage of the program was held at Play City where Syrian-Armenian children participated in a New Year’s event and reception.

Father, Archimandrite Isahak Poghosyan brought his blessings to the Syrian-Armenian children from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and greeted the organizers of the program.

Greeting the children and the participants of the event, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan wished peace in 2015 and a peaceful childhood to all Armenian children.

The minister expressed gratitude to the director of Play City Armen Nazaretyan, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin for helping organize the reception, the Armenian Red Cross Society for sponsoring the program, World Vision Armenia, the Armenian Representation of Save the Children International, the Armenian International Women’s Association (AIWA), the Armenian American Wellness Center, the Armenian Association for Women’s Health Maintenance, INECOBANK CJSC, “OOO “Российско-армянская дружба” and Global Media Lab, Frank Muller Yerevan Watch Distribution CJSC, as well as all individual benefactors.

The RA Minister of Diaspora expressed special gratitude to the Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues NGO and editor-in-chief of “Hayern Aysor” electronic newspaper Nayiri Megerdichian for their efforts to help make the New Year unforgettable for Syrian-Armenian and Iraqi-Armenian children.

Minister Hranush Hakobyan gave gifts to the youngest participant of the program, 3-month old Krikor Dungian and to the eldest participant, 14-year old Sasun Hagopian.

The minister congratulated Director of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Armenia Christoph Otto Bierwirth on his birthday and mentioned that the Office has made a great contribution to helping overcome the challenges facing Armenia in terms of solving the key issues concerning Syrian-Armenians having arrived in Armenia.

Director of the Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues NGO Lena Haladjian gave a speech in which she expressed her words of gratitude.

At the end, the acrobats of Play City performed for the gathered.
