On October 23, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participated in the event dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of Ararat Organization of Iran. Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia also attended the event, gave his blessing and a speech.

The RA Minister of Diaspora greeted the gathered, congratulated everyone on the 70^th anniversary of Ararat Organization and particularly mentioned the following: “I warmly and proudly congratulate all of us on the 70^th anniversary of Ararat Organization. Seventy years is a serious trajectory, in this case it is also one of the brilliant manifestations of the Iranian-Armenians’ activities for preservation of the Armenian identity, their love and devotion and responsibility for Armenia and the Armenian people, their loyalty to the national value system, their preservation of the Armenian type and transmission thereof to the generations, which makes this day a day of celebration for not only the Iranian-Armenians, but all Armenians around the world.”

Among other speakers were Chairman of the Central Committee of “Ararat” Organization Hamlet Khaloian, Chairman of the Homenetmen Central Committee Karnig Megerdichian and Prelate of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran, Archbishop Sepuh Sarkisian.

The event included performances that reflected the history of Ararat Organization.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan handed Chairman of the Central Committee of Ararat Organization Hamlet Khaloian the Movses Khorenatsi Medal of the Republic of Armenia, which was granted to him by the order of the President of the Republic of Armenia on the occasion of September 21^st.
