Hranush Hakobyan congratulated Esabelle Dingizian
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan has sent a congratulatory message to Esabelle Dingizian, who was recently elected the third deputy speaker of the Parliament of Sweden by the Greens Party.
“I was pleased and took pride when I learned that you had been elected deputy speaker of the Parliament of Sweden. On behalf of the RA Ministry of Diaspora and on behalf of myself, I cordially congratulate you on being elected to that high office. For every Armenian, it is a great honor to have a compatriot like you who lives and works in the Kingdom of Sweden and has managed to gain the trust of Swedish citizens through your involvement in government and politics and by showing your human attributes.
It is also thanks to your persistent efforts and pro-national activities that the Parliament of Sweden passed the Resolution on recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide. That was a big step to condemn crimes against humanity and to rule them out in the future.
I have served as a Member of Parliament for 22 years and know very well the path and how much efforts are made. I am certain that from now on you will continue your great mission to maintain Armenian-Swedish relations, and through our combined efforts we will also contribute to further development of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership,” as stated in the congratulatory message of the Minister of Diaspora.
Esabelle Dingizian was born in Baghdad. In 1965, she and her family emigrated to Sweden. In 2006 and 2010, she was elected deputy of the Parliament of Sweden by the Greens Party.
