Istanbul-Armenian singer Sibil granted the Gold Medal of the Mayor of Yerevan
Mayor of Yerevan hosted Istanbul-Armenian singer Sibil, who is famous in Turkey for her performances of the best Armenian songs of all times, including lyrical Armenian songs devoted to the historic homeland and composed in the 19th-20th centuries, reports the Department of Information and Public Relations at Yerevan Municipality.
Welcoming and praising the singer’s pro-national activities, the mayor of Yerevan expressed gratitude for her recent charity acts in Yerevan.
“Yerevan, as the capital city of all Armenians, has now also become a unique center for uniting and hosting Armenians of the Diaspora. As Mayor of Yerevan, it is my pleasure to see that you not are not only active in your career, but also carry out helpful charity acts,” Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan mentioned.
Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan granted the Gold Medal of the Mayor fo Yerevan to Istanbul-Armenian singer Sibil Bektorosoglu for her remarkable contributions to the dissemination of Armenian songs and for her charities in Yerevan.
“I’m very thankful for this award, which will make me work harder and with more responsibility. I’m also thankful for your support, without which I wouldn’t be able to help the capital city of my homeland Armenia. I called my new album Love, and with that I want to convey my love to my people,” the singer mentioned.
