Poetry Festival kicked off in Artsakh

On August 5, the Days of Poetry event titled “My Armenia” was kicked off in scope of “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival in Shushi, Artsakh; 87 young boys and girl from Lebanon, Iran, the USA, Georgia, Syria, Artsakh and Armenia participated in the Festival.

The Head of the Department of Pan-Armenian Programs of the RA Ministry of Diaspora Armen Andreasyan greeted the participants on behalf of the RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, wishing them unforgettable days in the 2nd Armenian Republic.

On August 5-6, all age groups took part in the contest phase of the Festival, presenting the works by Armenian writers.

On August 7, the jury summed up the contest results.

  1. Exhibition of best works of fine arts for awards and exhibition-sale of paintings donated by Armenian painters for construction of “New Aleppo” district were held
  2. RA Ministry of Diaspora held presentation of book by deputy editor of Istanbul’s Marmara Daily Makruhi Hagopian
  3. World renowned Armenian American designer Michael Aram’s exhibition of metallic and decorative items to be held under sponsorship of the RA Ministry of Diaspora
  4. Solemn closing ceremony of Days of Armenian Dance Program of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival was held
